Three Chimneys Inn is 8 minutes from historic Portsmouth, in the Seacoast

of New Hampshire. Within steps of the University of New Hampshire,
the Inn is
convenient to antique and outlet shopping, the Strawberry Banke Museum, several
historic mansions on tour, and the rugged seacoast of Maine.
The newly restored 1649 Homestead and Carriage House proudly overlooks her
formal
gardens, the Oyster River, the Old Mill Falls, and provides a glimpse of
early Colonial life.
The original mansion dining room and winter kitchen provide an authentic
Colonial setting
for fine dining in "Maples" and "Coppers." Four fireplaces cast a warm
glow on elegant cusine
and friendly, upscale service. The "Tavern" with its open hearth summer
kitchen fireplace,
granite walls, and hand hewn beams, provides a cozy spot for hearty traditional
fare.
Our exquisitely decorated meeting rooms accommodate groups from 12 to 100.
You will
find fireplaces, large windows with blackout drapes, and comfortable seating.
Twenty-three elegantly appointed guestrooms contain fireplaces, four poster
beds dressed
in Edwardian drapes, rich tapestries, antique artwork, polished wood floors
warmed by
oriental rugs. Each room boasts it's own personality with fine Georgian
mahogany furnishings,
overstuffed lounge chairs, cable television, and full size Chippendale desks
with two incoming
lines for data ports. Added comforts include full private baths, double
showers, oversize tubs
and Jacuzzis.
The Inn has been awarded Yankee Magazine's "Editor's Pick" for the last three
