Love Letter No. 4
A Letter from the Heart
Dear [Name]: I love you so much it hurts, and when you don't look into my eyes the way you once did...those days we lived in the past; I wonder who you could be looking...sharing that gaze with one day. I thought we could overcome the obstacles that crippled those before us who made the promise we struggle so harshly to keep. I need to feel your warm, comforting lips touching mine, taking me on a journey to a world that I never thought existed. I long for the embrace of your strong, welcoming arms making me feel so safe and secure from the horrors that test the strength of our hearts. For all the mistakes I have made, they will haunt my troubled soul as long as I walk this earth. I will have to endure your wrath on my heart for as long as my love for you stands firm. I struggle to hide the feelings and gestures of happiness, the affection and smiles that once before revealed who I truly am within, for fear of one day losing what is left of the man who loved me so deep and true. I once broke your heart for I was too weak to fight my way back to you, allowed my mind to lock away my heart in a prison with walls so high for 3 years I could not escape the guards holding it barely within my reach. Now in the present, my love for the man who opened my eyes to true heart-freeing love and devotion has been lost, and I may never find him again. If that is the punishment for the crimes I have committed on his heart then so be it. [Name] |
